“Unity in the Community”

Lets’ show “Unity in the Community”;

By showing courage, integrity, respect, courtesy, fairness, cooperation, and compassion for one another.

It is very hard to believe a vision we had three years ago, became an Annual Event for the Community of Orange City. We are truly thankful that the City of Orange City has allowed us to showcase our vision. We thank the Orange City Community for supporting the love that birthed this vision; it is the spirit of God that has inspired us. In 2010, in lieu of Black History Month, an event was planned to showcase the “Educators and Mentors –past and present – of the African American Community”, with standing room only in the Dickinson Memorial Library Hall and with overwhelming success; in 2011 the event became a one-day festival sponsored by the Orange City African American Heritage Committee. The success of the event continues to grow. We celebrated our 3rd Annual African American Heritage Festival with an evening of talent and gospel ensembles followed by a day of fun and excitement. The plans for the 6th Annual African American is even greater with a night of Comedy followed by an evening of talent and gospel ensembles that will conclude with a day of fun and excitement. We give thanks to all!

Any charitable donation shall be payable to Everybody is Somebody, Inc.  All contributions that are designated for the Orange City African American Heritage Festival shall be utilized to further the purposes of the festival.
